Founded in 1988 as a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization, the Pastel Society of North Florida (PSNF) is dedicated to the exploration and promotion of pastel as a serious, versatile and fascinating medium.  The society is open to all artists, beginner to professional, as well as patrons of the arts.  On even numbered years, the society hosts National Juried Exhibitions in conjunction with a workshop by a nationally recognized pastelist.  On odd numbered years, the society hosts Members Only Exhibitions.  There are many educational meetings throughout the year including demonstrations and plein air painting days.  The society also produces a quarterly newsletter.

PSNF is a member society of the International Association of Pastel Societies.
